This month has been NZ Music Month!
We have been celebrating at Royal Oak Primary School by:
Listening to and singing lots of songs by kiwi artists, making music together with musical instruments, creating our own instruments like shakers and last of all learning the song called 'Things to Remember'.
This song is so special and important because it won the 'Write a Song for NZ Music Month' Competition! It was written by some Year 5 & 6 children at Newton central School-Awesome!
We love singing the song, its very catchy and here is the link to hear and sing along to it:
Here is also a photo of some children in Room 5 with their awesome NZ Music Month Shakers!
What fantastic shakers and smiles!
