Congratulations to... Room 2!! They were the best class at today's Junior Assembly and get to take Mama Bear back to their class for two weeks!! Well done Room 2!

Today we had some wonderful visitors from Royal Oak Intermediate. The students work as part of an English as a second language group and in this group, have worked to create their own story books. They kindly brought these beautiful books into share with the children in the Junior School. The books were wonderful and our children really enjoyed listening to them! Thank you :)

A BIG welcome to our newest class on the block...Room 18!! A few lovely little children have started this week with Miss Knowles (Mon, Tues, Wed) and Miss Headland (Thurs, Fri).

Reading Rocks Show

Today we had  Adrian from Reading Rocks! He was awesome and sooooo funny!

He talked to us all about how books can open doors and we can go anywhere, learn anything and be anyone   all through reading books. Reading is so valuable and it ROCKS!

Worms Worms Worms!

Mrs McConnell has been teaching the Junior classes all about worms and our school worm farm. Today Mrs McConnell visited the children in Room 3: We got to check out the worms up close! We put on gloves and handled the worms and used magnifying glasses to get a really good look! Then we learnt all about the life cycle of worms. We loved it! Thank you Mrs McConnell!

Junior Assembly- Room 5

Today Room 5 hosted Junior Assembly.


Their assembly had a lovely Autumn theme! They wore colourful Autumn leaf crowns, sang songs and shared poems. Check it out below! :-)

Yay! Not only will we have sausage sizzles every second Monday...now we will have frankfurter hotdogs on the Mondays in between! Yummy yummy yummy!


Our first 'Frankfurter Day' is on Monday 7th May and all you need is a $2 coin. I know I'll be getting one! :-)

Sausage Sizzles are BACK!

Sausage sizzles are back again!


You can get a nice, hot, yummy sausage on a Monday every second week. 
There are beef sausages, chicken sausages, vegetarian sausages, flavoured milk, juices and Oreo cookies! 


The first one is on Monday 30th May- so if you want a sausage sizzle don't forget your coins!

Mrs Clotworthy is bringing a BIG new friend to Junior Assembly!


Its a GIANT teddy! Each fortnight at Junior Assembly the best, most well behaved class will get to take the teddy to their room for a whole fortnight!!!


I wonder who will win it this week? :-)

Junior Laptop COW!

Wahoo!! The Junior area of the school has it's very own laptop trolley called a 'C.O.W' (Computers On Wheels).


All classes get to use the Laptop C.O.W for a whole day every fortnight.
The children at ROP's are computer pro's and they love using the coll laptops!

Welcome to 2012!

ALL BLACKS MUFTI DAY!

Don't forget to wear you Black & White for this Friday's Mufti Day (18th November) And this time don't bring your gold coin! Please bring a bottle for our Food Festival Bottle Bank instead! Some ideas for what to bring are: sauces, jams, preserves, lotions, perfumes, shampoos, body wash, bubble bath, drinks etc. Make sure they are new and unopened ready for our Festival next year.

Wow- Look at the video below to check out the amaaaaazing class montages!! They are available to view in each classroom and during the Art Festival. You can place a bid on them up until the last Wednesday of school.

Cornwall Park

See if you can go to Cornwall Park and see the newly born lambs. They are making lots of noise 'baa baa' to tell their Mum's where they are.

As well as lambs, there are calves too.

If you walk through Twin Oak Drive all the daffodils are in flower too.

I really enjoyed visiting the park today!

Sausage Sizzles are back!

The first one for Term 3 will be:

Monday 15th August (Week 3) and they will then take place every second week.
