It was fantastic! Nearly all the Year One children went to the Botanic Gardens yesterday or today in Manurewa. The bus trip was exciting and then we had a lesson with a special Garden person who helped us plant our own bean. We also planted seedlings in the ground and swept up the yard too! The gardens are huge and we walked and walked around the big lake, saw ducks and so many different plants and trees.
The day was very interesting and it was fun being with all the other children too.
I went out to the Botanical Gardens today. I saw lots of ducks too but I didn't see the special Garden person. I suppose he was having a rest.
